Sam Evans will be returning! As shown in the promo, Finn and Rachel attempt to track down new members so they go out looking for Sam, who is working in a strip bar under the alias ‘White Chocolate’ Apparently Finn convinces Sam to come back to school and rejoin the New Directions, looks like Sam is back for good!
Rachel/Finn convince Sam’s parents he can stay with friends if he rejoins, does this mean he’s back for good? Or just for the one competition?
Sam has scenes with Blaine and Rachel. Apparently the scene between Sam/Rachel is very fun and exciting as they dance with one another. Plus Blaine/Sam’s scene is a confrontation apparently and a fight nearly breaks out.
Sectionals will be hosted at Mckinley High this year! Three groups as always will be competing and that will be; The New Directions, The Troubletones and a group lead by Harmony, who is back for this episode.
Sebastian is back and will be in the audience watching Sectionals!
Mike has some trouble this week as his Dad walks in on ABC (Sectionals performance) Apparently Tina helps Mike with his future, and defends him. Show down scene between Mike, Tina and Mikes Dad anyone?
It turns out Mikes Dad is a bit more supportive than we thought! He tells his son to go for his dreams to dance school, but he’s already missed deadlines. However Tina didn’t and she applied for him!
To make up the loss of numbers for New Directions at sectionals, ‘random band members’ join in!
Finn/Blaine have a heart to heart after Finn reveals he’s jealous/threatened by Blaine. Apparently the two join forces and promise to buckle down to win the competition.
Apparently Brittana fans will love the Troubletones Sectional performances as it involves Brittany/Santana paired together and dancing together.
Quinn wants Sam back and asks him to help her raise Beth, however Sam isn’t interested and is insisting he will fight to get Mercedes back, who he evidently still has feelings for.
Quinn apparently has a break down in front of Will, and she tries to get Shelby fired. Apparently in the end Rachel convinces her against it and the two acknowledge one another as friends.
Sebastian and Kurt have a scene alone in which they tell one another about their feels (presumably towards Blaine)
Rachel offers to give Quinn vocal lessons to help them win against Troubletones.

News already broke this week that Ricky Martin was going to appear on Glee this winter as McKinley High’s new Spanish teacher. But now EW has even more exciting news for Latin music fans: A source exclusively tells EW that pop superstar Gloria Estefan is currently in negotiations to play [SPOILER ALERT!!!]… Santana’s mother!
Last night, we met Santana’s grandmother, who did not approve of her granddaughter’s lesbian lifestyle. But we haven’t heard from her parents, who Santana claimed were supportive of their daughter’s coming out. Gleeks should expect to see Gloria in the same episode as Martin in January. Our source tells us that the entire cast is “really really big fans of hers and we love her music and her husband’s music.” In fact, the plan is for the episode is to feature some of Estefan’s own music as well as some other bilingual tunes.
